When i trying to install VMware JMP application 7.6 & 7.7 i got this following error in creating database.yml file .

This issue is in windows server 2016. but i have successfully installed in windows server 2012r2.

To fix the issue in windows 2016 ?

If you click OK ? all log and Application files will be delete. first go to This log file will be available at the path :C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\JMP\com\XMS\log  and there is a log file "create_db_config_file"

Solution: If you notice that HOME environment variable need to set as per above logs ? Then click OK it ll role back all log and installed files ll be remove.  and go to computer Properties > select Advanced system settings > click Environment Variables at system properties.

System variables : click New enter variable name: HOME and variable value: C:\users\yourname  then OK . Try install
